La seguridad pública abarca más que la aplicación de la ley. Incluye la seguridad fÃsica, la preparación para emergencias, la confianza en el gobierno y la capacidad de vivir sin miedo. La seguridad es más sólida cuando se protegen la dignidad y los derechos, y cuando la ciudad invierte en prevención y preparación. Kristen trabajará para proteger a las comunidades inmigrantes garantizando el acceso a los servicios municipales sin miedo, apoyando la defensa legal y las colaboraciones comunitarias, e insistiendo en la transparencia y la rendición de cuentas cuando los agentes federales desestabilicen Santa Bárbara.
