Community Safety
Public safety is broader than enforcement. It includes physical safety, emergency preparedness, trust in government, and the ability to live without fear. Safety is strongest when dignity and rights are protected and when the city invests in prevention and preparedness. Kristen will work to protect immigrant communities by ensuring access to city services without fear, supporting legal defense and community partnerships, and insisting on transparency and accountability when federal agents destabilize Santa Barbara.
